Cycling
Lelystad and the province of Flevoland offer numerous opportunities for cycling enthusiasts. You can enjoy the unique scenery near the Oostvaardersplassen (these are lakes and ponds), cycle along organic farms, or you ca follow the track along the Lelystad coast. Need inspiration? The great Lelystad Cycling Routes booklet describes and maps out ten touristic routes of the best spots in Lelystad. Many of these routes are ideally suited for inline speed skating. The booklet further includes tips for fun activities in the surrounding area of a route.
ATB route
The recently opened mountain bike route has been mapped out and described in a brochure. This mountain bike route runs across woodlands and scenes of natural beauty, such as the Zuigerplasbos, Overijsselse Hout and Gelderse Hout forests. The route is signposted with the international ATB logo: a triangle with two circles.
Both the cycling route booklet and the mountain bike route booklets can be obtained from the Tourist Information Point at the Stadswinkel.
