The main shopping centre of Lelystad is undergoing a facelift. This will enhance the centre ensuring that the Stadshart will be the dazzling heart of the city. Not only in the field of shopping, but also in terms of living, culture, events, and entertainment. The development of the Stadshart city centre forms a part of the Stadshart Master Plan.

Lelycentre
Lelycentre was built during the late1960s. Its the old historic centre of the city. Although the main shopping centre was relocated with the respective growth of the city, Lelycentre is still a noticeably large shopping centre with a varied range of shops. In addition to shops for the daily necessities, i.e. supermarkets and pharmacies, Lelycentre also offers boutiques, hairdressers and luxury products shops.

Palazzo
The Palazzo home furnishings boulevard is situated on the south side of Lelystad. The Palazzo offers home furnishings stores, kitchen specialists, sanitary specialists, DIY stores, a garden centre and shops with products for in and around the house.

BataviaStad
BataviaStad is outlet shopping in style. You can find 100% fashionable ladies’, men’s and children’s fashion, shoe trends, lingerie and sports & outdoor wear. BataviaStad is situated along the Markermeer Lake and is one of the most popular attractions in the country. More than 2 million visitors pass through the prominent gates of the fortress-like BataviaStad each year. Local shopping centres
Lelystad has a total of eight small shopping centres. In addition to a supermarket, these shopping centres also offer other shopping options. Local shopping centres can be found in the following districts: Kamp, Voorstraat, Voorhof, Jol, Botter, Tjalk, Kempenaar and Lelystad Haven.
Late-night shopping
Lelystadshart: Thursday evenings until 9pm
Lelycentre: Friday evenings until 9pm
Palazzo: Thursday evenings until 9pm
BataviaStad: No late-shopping, but is open daily including Sunday
Markets
Market is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Tuesday market runs from 8:30am to 1pm and is set up at Noorderwagenplein in the Lelycentre. On Saturdays, the market is held at Agorahof in the Stadshart from 9am to 4pm. On Saturdays, a number of stalls with foodstuffs can be found in the local shopping centre Lelycentre and Thursday afternoons in the local shopping centre Lelystad Haven.
